jhuan0

I found jhuan0 through the fan video he made for Eyehategods track Anxiety Hangover... which has impressed me for years now, looking further into his stuff i managed to find another gem though, a 9 and a half minute experimental film called 'vol. 13' which i rate as the best thing i've seen this year, beautifully crafted collage film, utilizing everything from trash pornography to fellini to robocop... this delivers, like a morbid poem crafted from scraps of culture, i cant recommend this guys stuff enough, i pray he does more.

Voynich Manuscript & Codex Seraphinianus

The Voynich manuscript is a mysterious, undeciphered illustrated book. It is thought to have been written in the 15th or 16th century. The author, script, and language of the manuscript remain unknown.

Photobucket

The Codex Seraphinianus is a book written and illustrated by the Italian artist, architect and industrial designer Luigi Serafini during thirty months, from 1976 to 1978. The book is approximately 360 pages long, and appears to be a visual encyclopedia of an unknown world, written in one of its languages, a thus-far undeciphered alphabetic writing.

Photobucket

Both books are best viewed as less literature and instead art.

Animal Death Weed New York City Nameless Character Female Nudity

While this isn't technically my first film, this is my first production along the lines of the medium i'd like to further develop... collage film, which while i know already exists to an extent with directors like Jonas Mekas, Stan Brakhage & Bruce Conner... has dwindled in recent years & is in need of a resurrection. Utilizing the cut & paste aesthetic of hip-hop culture i've mashed up & spliced together scenes from a selection of my favourite films and thrown some of my mine & my friends noise music over the top... this is the end result.

Jungle For Dummies

Jungle is the name given to a style of electronic music that incorporates influences from genres including breakbeat hardcore, techno, rare groove and reggae/dub/dancehall. There is significant debate as to whether Jungle is a separate genre from drum and bass as some use the terms interchangeably. Jungle and Drum and bass started to separate musically in the late 1990s. There is a fuzzy period there where it is harder to distinguish the difference between the two. There is much politics attached to labeling different tracks as a specific genre. Presented here is a choice selection of Ragga/Raggacore & standard Jungle/d&b... a great introduction to anyone interested.

Shit House On Wheels

Here's some photos of my dad on a VW trike he had in the late 70's. He called it the "shit house on wheels" he couldn't remember who built it. But it was fucking cool, and whoever it was put some real time into it. These were taken somewhere in southern Indiana where we still live, I don't know what ever happened to the trike, but I wish I did.
