Jungle For Dummies

Jungle is the name given to a style of electronic music that incorporates influences from genres including breakbeat hardcore, techno, rare groove and reggae/dub/dancehall. There is significant debate as to whether Jungle is a separate genre from drum and bass as some use the terms interchangeably. Jungle and Drum and bass started to separate musically in the late 1990s. There is a fuzzy period there where it is harder to distinguish the difference between the two. There is much politics attached to labeling different tracks as a specific genre. Presented here is a choice selection of Ragga/Raggacore & standard Jungle/d&b... a great introduction to anyone interested.

Survival Story [A Ragga Jungle Compilation]

I always a knew a site like this must exist somewhere online... but i'd never been able to locate it before, so i'm very happy to be able to share this now. This site provides a slowly growing archive of title screens from films, while some may consider this boring, i've always found title screens to be very cool & this collection ranges from all over the world & across all different genres, meaning the styles of each of them vary dramatically.

Tom Mason works in collage, painting, photography & just general messyness... his art doesn't seem beset by rules, sort of like a child were doing it, but if so, this is one talented kid. It's impossible to describe all his stuff through any one or even a small list of themes... it covers far too many for that. All i can say is that i highly recommend him.
