Tadanori Yokoo (born 1936) is a Japanese graphic designer, illustrator, printmaker and painter. He has been described as the "Japanese Andy Warhol", done tour posters for bands all the way from The Beatles to Tangerine Dream, film posters for underground/alternative classics & is also very notable for his work alongside Shuji Terayama & comes highly recommended as one of my favourite artists.

Voynich Manuscript & Codex Seraphinianus
The Voynich manuscript is a mysterious, undeciphered illustrated book. It is thought to have been written in the 15th or 16th century. The author, script, and language of the manuscript remain unknown.
The Codex Seraphinianus is a book written and illustrated by the Italian artist, architect and industrial designer Luigi Serafini during thirty months, from 1976 to 1978. The book is approximately 360 pages long, and appears to be a visual encyclopedia of an unknown world, written in one of its languages, a thus-far undeciphered alphabetic writing.
Both books are best viewed as less literature and instead art.
